It is with great sadness that the NCBCA annouces the passing of 2015 NCBCA Hall of Famer Coach Barry James Hall!  Our thoughts are with Coach Hall's Family and and the East Surry High School Community!

Barry James Hall, 71, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Forsyth County to the late James Marshall Hall and Melba Grace Covington Hall.  Barry was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Betty Baker Shelton and uncle, Robert Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rachel Shelton Hall; son, Bryan Hall; daughter, Denise Hall; three precious granddaughters, Madisyn, Maycie and Millye; brother, Bruce Hall and wife Carmel; sister, Emily Southern and husband Larry (niece, Melissa Lomax and husband Todd and their kids great-niece Kayla and great-nephew Tanner); one father-in-law, Eugene Shelton; two brothers-in-law, Larry Shelton (Debbie) and Darrell Shelton (Susan); special aunts, Peggy Smith and Allie Pruitt; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and furry companion, Little Bit. A Celebration of Life will be held 12:00 noon on January 5, 2019 at the East Surry High School Gym. Visitation will immediately follow the service.  A committal service will be conducted 4:00 p.m. at Pinnacle View Baptist Church Cemetery. An extended visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall at the conclusion of the committal service. At Coach Hall’s request, please dress casual, as if you’re attending a baseball game. In lieu of flowers, Coach Hall would request memorials be made to the East Surry Baseball Fund c/o (Coach Chad Freeman), 801 West Main St., Pilot Mountain, NC 27041, Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Ln., Mount Airy, NC 27030 or Pinnacle View Baptist Cemetery Fund c/o Cindy Nichols, 642 Shoals Rd., Pinnacle, NC 27043. Special thank you to Mount Airy Hospice and all who aided in Coach Hall’s care during his sickness. 

Arrangements for Barry Hall: Celebration of Life Service on Saturday Jan.5th at noon. Visitation to follow (approx 1-3:30), both at East Surry High School gym. Graveside burial at 4:00 at Pinnacle View Baptist church!
